It's not often that the people are rallied for an issue that seems relatively obscure, but Fast Track Authority is today's hot example. It might seem confusing that the House Republicans sided with Obama against House Democrats---but the reality is that the move to grant the President authority to make agreements without input from Congress shouldn't be within the right of any Representative to make. Regardless of party affiliation the House represents the people---period. Today the president is a Democrat, tomorrow and into the future that may change, and change again. This is irrelevant. The Constitution is designed to block any one branch from becoming too powerful, and Fast Track breaks that block. Taking the power out of the hands of the people and placing it squarely in the hands of a single individual is antithetical our rights and protections guaranteed in the Constitution.
