Just when you thought you'd seen everything, here's the Playmobil Security Check Point, recommended for children ages 4-7. Although clearly unrealistic (woman is shown wearing shoes and her sweater and coat, and the security device is the old style walkthrough), this instructive exercise in how to participate in an invasive search will delight your pre-schooler!

And speaking of children's games, I suggest that you obtain a copy of The Children's Story by James Clavell. This little parable was written in 1963 and takes place after a coup d'etat. The setting is a classroom where Clavell shows how easy it would be to convert the hearts and minds of children from one form of government to another. You'll be shocked to see how long it takes.
